compete against previous time/distance.

Training on the Wattbike

compete against previous time/distance.

Postby Richp on Wed Dec 09, 2009 9:22 pm

I have just attempted to improve on my previous 60 mins.
I selected a previous 60 mins and got the pace icon on the bottom screen hoping/ thinking if I kept ahead of the pace marker I would improve my distance.
However the timer stopped as soon as I attained my previous distance.
Is it possible to race against a previous 60 min session for 60 mins and therefore improve the distance.

Rich - did you use the ReRide function so a previous session stored in Recall? Was the orginal session was set up as a 60 minute workout in New Workout/Custom or the 60 minutes from the Standard Workpout sessions?

Eddie,
yep I used the Reride function and the original session was from the standard workout session.
I wish I had opted to try and improve on a shorter distance before I found this out.
I hope this becomes an option as it was pretty useful having the pace setter/marker visible.
When on the previous session I had a bit of a spurt-so to speak  it encouraged me to fight back, however as I get fitter and improve this could lead to some silly workouts for one guy in his training room.
The function is available I believe on the Concepts PM.
Another request, and I should imagine it wouldn't be a priority but,the icon on the pacer screen, could it be made to resemble a pair of small bikes or small bikes with rider, the Concept at least has what appears to be 2 boat hulls racing against each other. The present display is, like me,a bit dull.
The monitor in it's present form is a good bit of kit,but its the little things that could make it great.
With the Wattbike being used as a talent identifier and the increased exposure to youngsters, a pair of dualling bikes is a lot easier on the eye.
